Shakya Dorje still acts as an interpreter for Dharma teaching from traditional Tibetan Lamas from time to time.  He interprets regularly at the Riwoche temple in Toronto.  www.riwoche.com

In June of 2006 he interpreted for Ven.Sonam Rinpoche in Dayton and Yellow Springs, Ohio.

Also in June he will participated in the empowerments given on the auspicious occasion of the marraige of Sakyong Mipham Mukpo (son of the late Vidyadhara, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche) to Semo Tseyang Ripa (daughter of H.E.Terton Namkha Drimed Rabjam Rinpoche), interpreting for Ven.Karma Senge, Rinpoche at the Enriching Empowerment,and for  H.E.Terton Namkha Drimed Rabjam Rinpoche for the Gesar of Ling Empowerment, andfor the Long Life Empowerment.  For more information on these events see www.blossomingofthesun.org

In 2007 he will interpret for Ven.Sonam Rinpoche in Chicago Apr.13-15, for the retreat in the Riwoche temple June 11-25, and for Ven.Sonam Rinpoche’s retreat at the Dharma Centre in Kinmount, Ontario Sept.30-Oct.7.  See www.riwoche.com for details.  He will also assist with H.H.Phakchok Rinpoche’s visit to Toronto in August.
